Maker Kids

Designed with homeschoolers in mind, Maker Kids is a creative enrichment class where children can explore, experiment, and make art in a supportive studio setting. Each session invites students to dive into hands-on projects using a wide range of materials and techniques—painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, and more.

Guided by experienced instructors, children work through engaging projects that encourage curiosity, creative problem-solving, and independent thinking. Lessons are thoughtfully structured but flexible, allowing students to follow their interests, make choices, and express their ideas in their own unique way.

Maker Kids supports skill-building across disciplines, helping children strengthen fine motor skills, visual thinking, perseverance, and confidence—all while having fun. Just as importantly, the class provides a social, collaborative environment where homeschoolers can connect with peers, share ideas, and proudly take home their finished creations each week.

Kid Chefs

Do you have a young chef in the making? GUILD’s cooking classes provide a space for children to explore their culinary creativity while learning food preparation skills that will set them up for success in the kitchen.

Delicious and healthy recipes are a key ingredient of every cooking class at GUILD. We teach students how to chop, dice, peel, slice, wash, strain, core, bake, toast, whisk, fold and mix. Students will learn to read recipes and measure ingredients in a way that makes recipe preparation (and clean-up) easy and fun!

Cultural awareness is an important part of our program. We carefully select recipes that expose students to the foods and dishes of other countries. Our instructors share interesting facts about world cuisine and encourage students to share their own cultural food experiences with classmates. Ages 5+

Fall session: begins September 2nd

Wednesdays 10:00am-11:30am

Students may enroll at any time during an active session (If enrolling after the start date of a session, fees will be prorated accordingly at $35/class).

M.A.D. Scientists: Artist Inventors

M.A.D. stands for Making Art Discoveries—a unique program where science, engineering, and creativity come together through hands-on art experiences. Each class blends scientific concepts with engaging art activities and creative projects, helping children learn by making, experimenting, and exploring.

Young inventors will build, test, tinker, and create projects inspired by famous inventors, scientific discoveries, and imaginative "what if?" challenges. From simple machines and circuits to kinetic sculptures, optical illusions, chain reactions, and inventive prototypes, every class encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and creative thinking.

Children will discover how science and art work hand in hand while developing confidence, perseverance, and a love of exploration. Perfect for kids who enjoy asking questions, building things, experimenting with new ideas, and creating projects that move, light up, or solve a problem.
